S Y N O P S I S
The story of this film begins when a bomb exploded at the headquarters of MI6. The bomb was murdered oil tycoon Sir Robert King (David Calder), who was at the base to retrieve the ransom his daughter who had not been paid to the kidnappers. Apparently before the ransom was paid, Elektra King (Sophie Marceau), daughter of Sir Robert, succeeded in escaping from her captor's hand, namely the much-feared terrorist, Renard (Robert Carlyle) who is also known as The Anarchist.
Death of Sir Robert who is a close friend of M makes the MI6 boss angry and sad. But M is also concerned that Sir Robert's murderers were after Elektra, so he also assigns Bond to protect the daughter of Sir Robert's. Bond immediately flew to Baku, Azerbaijan where Sir Robert's ambitious project is the construction of oil pipeline that crosses from West Asia to Istanbul, Turkey to the Western world can enjoy a surplus of oil for another hundred years.
